We all like to play... and Falmouth is the place to do so! The night scene here is tiny in terms of venues and area, and in fact no one really needs such a webpage to know where to go. But just so you can be in the know even before you get to Antigua... here are a few of the most well known spots. In any case there is always something good going on somewhere.. Chilled out Antigua is usually pretty cool!
Skulduggery's

Early evening favorite for crew ... Cheap cheerful and lots of life passing by. Expresso martinis are the speciality, but the Carib is ok too as well as the Mount Gay. The bar closes quite early, but is good meet up point before going for food or more of the same.
Abracadabra
Cool people just call it Abra. The restaurant closes at midnight, the club stays open till dawn. This is Antigua's premier night spot, catering to all races and creeds and attracting a good crowd of DJ's and punters. Guaranteed to be lively and usually.... actually fun.
Cloggy's
Cloggy';s restaurant in the Antigua Yacht Club turns into a party place in the late hours. Weekend and Wednesday nights are said to be best. Plenty of people, lots of dancing, regular special events.

Mad Mongoose
The Mongoose comes to life in the post dinner hours. There are often bands playing, and the place gets packed, but it is not usually a very very late venue. Sometimes it is really nice, at other times it is just an overcrowded bar full of very drunk yachties The only thing guaranteed is the alcohol flow!

The Rasta Shack Snackette
The Rasta Shack specialises in the trade of perishable Rastafarian wares, strictly for recreational or spiritual 'on the spot' use. It is in full view of the local police station and is currently deemed to be a safe place to indulge in moderation. Luckily, drinks are also served!
Late evening view of the Rasta Shack
Bumpkins There are some pretty cool gigs at Bumpkin's on Pigeon beach. The Survivors, a grass root Rastafari local band performs here on Sundays afternoon, as well as a few other bands during the week's evenings. |
